Dr Carryn Anderson is the winner of The Steven M. Grunberg Memorial Award for the highest ranking abstract submitted to the MASCC (Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer) Annual Meeting.

The winning abstract is based on a study of the early results of a trial helping to stop the break-down of skin tissues in the mouth and throat (Oral mucositis).

Although the study is being administered by Galera Therapeutics, Inc and the University of Iowa, it also includes many other hospitals in the US and Canada. The award includes travel expenses and accommodation during the meeting.
