Jordan Gaines, MD contributed to the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center’s AI pilot grant proposal. The now funded study: Validation of predicted tumor recurrence lesions of deep learning-segmentation based prognostication (DESEP) model” applies deep convolutional neural networks (CNN) to image features to help predict tumor recurrence. He is one of the key co-investigators in the study.

Cameron Callaghan MD, MPH first authored a review article titled “Systematic Review of Intensity-Modulated Brachytherapy (IMBT): Static and Dynamic Techniques that was selected as both an editorial highlight in the IJROBP (Red Journal) and an editor’s pick for the European Society of Therapeutic Radiation Oncologists. In their editorial commentary William Song PhD and Shirin Enger PhD stated: “We commend Dr Callaghan and his colleagues for the recognition of this and the timely paper published in this issue”.
