A research study co-authored by University of Iowa researchers was featured on the cover of the July 2020 edition of Medical Physics. "Design of a focused collimator for proton therapy spot scanning using Monte Carlo methods" was written by researchers from the University of Iowa, Departments of Medical Physics and Human Oncology at the University of Wisconsin, and the Department of Radiation Oncology, Miami Cancer Institute, in Florida. The article received the "Editor's Choice" award for this issue and had art from the article promoted to the front cover of this edition.
