Ryan Flynn along with co-authors, Quentin Adams, Karolyn Hopfensperger, Xiaodong Wu, Weiyu Xu and Yusung Kim were awarded the Farrington Daniels Award by the AAPM for the best paper published in 2019 in the “Radiation therapy dosimetry, planning or delivery” category.

The article titled: “Efficient 169 Yb High-Dose-Rate Brachytherapy Source Production Using Reactivation” appeared in the journal “Medical Physics” and is one of several successful manuscripts produced through the collaboration of the Departments of Radiation Oncology, Biomedical Engineering and Electrical & Computer Engineering.

The award is bestowed in the year following the publication year and is one of several awards granted by the AAPM.
