Deeded Body memorial service

Date: Thursday, September 26, 2019

The Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology in the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine will hold its annual memorial service for the Deeded Body Program at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27, in the St. Andrew Presbyterian Church located at 140 Gathering Place Lane, Iowa City.

Established more than 50 years ago, the memorial service honors those whose donated bodies aided in the advancement of medical education and science at the UI through studies completed during the past year.

Students who benefited from the donations will participate in the service. Noelle Andrew, associate director of spiritual services at UI Hospitals & Clinics, and John Engelhardt, professor and chair of anatomy and cell biology, also will deliver remarks.

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all UI-sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires a reasonable accommodation in order to attend this service, call Brian Chapman in advance at 319-335-7762.
