Video: UI Carver College of Medicine Commencement 2016

Updated May 16, 2016: A recording of the UI Carver College of Medicine Commencement for the Class of 2016 is available online at IowaNow.

The University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine Commencement for the Class of 2016 will be held Friday, May 13, at 6:30 p.m. at the Coralville Marriott Hotel and Conference Center, Exhibit Hall. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and graduates must arrive no later than 6:00 p.m. IowaNow will live stream the spring ceremony and an archive will be available after commencement weekend.

The graduating class selected Christopher Cooper, MD, senior associate dean for medical education, as guest speaker. P. Barry Butler, executive vice president and provost, and Jean Robillard, MD, UI vice president for medical affairs and dean of the Carver College of Medicine, will also participate.

Prior to the ceremony, the UI Carver College of Medicine will host a graduation reception from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 13, at the Medical Education and Research Facility (MERF). Family and friends are welcome to attend. The class composite picture will be displayed and the Match Day slides will be shown throughout the MERF atrium.
