When the department is prepared to begin interviewing applicants, a Pre-Interview Report should be submitted through the Jobs@Iowa requisition. The Pre-Interview Report will automatically route to and be reviewed by the Office of Faculty Affairs and Development before being forwarded to the Office of Institutional Equity. Notification of final approval to interview will be automatically emailed by the workflow computer system to those on the workflow path.
It is recommended that departments begin the process of soliciting reference letters at this time, if not sooner. For information on reference letters see Step 3, Item 1. c.
It is also recommended that departments begin working with the Clinical Staff Office to initiate privileging and credentialing processes necessary for faculty engaging in clinical work.
