The Lynch Global Medical Education Scholarship supports UI Carver College of Medicine medical students who plan to engage in a clinically focused, community-based medical experience involving hands-on work with underserved populations outside of the US and Canada. Students should learn to appreciate the strengths and assets of the culture they are visiting while working with caregivers who can help them to identify cultural, social and medical problems that impact health care.
