EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS

Emergency Preparedness Door Card  PDF icon Door card is to be placed on the inside of the lab door.  When updating please update on door and email to Jennifer Stout. 

Emergency Preparedness Freezer Card  PDF icon Freezer card is to be placed on each freezer inside the lab.  When updating please update on freezer and email to Jennifer Stout. 

IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY DO THIS

Fire, Injury, Imminent Danger call 911

Fire Activate the fire alarm if not already activated.  Evacuate the building immediately using the stairs, do not use the elevator. 

Power Outage  Use your cellphone as a flashlight, exit the building via the stairs.  Call 911 to report the outage once you are outside of the building. 

Tornado  Take shelter on the lowest level of the building.  Stay away from windows and move to interior hallways and rooms.

UI Campus Facilities Management  Call (319) 335-5071 to report water leaks, gas leaks, suspicious odor, power outage and flood.  

UI Police  Call (319) 335-5022 to report suspicious mail or packages, or to report property that is damaged or stolen. 

UIHC Safety & Security  Call (319) 356-2658 to report safety issues within the hospital.
