Office of Faculty Affairs and Development

The mission of the Office of Faculty Affairs and Development is to support the growth and professional development of faculty throughout their career and to facilitate effective departmental administration of HR-related activities.

The Office oversees IT planning and offers consulting for applications in teaching and learning, research and administration. While the office offers a number of direct services—project management, website development, graphic design, digital signage, software application development, and software licensing—it also works with a number of on-campus service providers to address the needs of the college.

This service catalog is intended to provide you with a list of preferred services available to members of the Carver College of Medicine community. This site is displayed by user, however, many services overlap so if you don't see a specific service listed under your audience type, it may be located under another category, or in the A-Z listing. Advocacy

To enhance the faculty’s voice in decision making processes
To recognize faculty excellence across disciplines and pursuits
To increase opportunities for faculty career success and satisfaction

Education

To increase knowledge through personal and direct interactions with department chairs and individual faculty
To provide guidance and resources for career enhancement
To work with faculty to strategically establish career goals and plans

Communication

To work closely with relevant parties to resolve faculty concerns
To support departmental administrators in their faculty-related responsibilities
