The Department of Pathology at The University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine is seeking scientist candidates for tenure-track faculty positions in immunology or cancer research. Candidates must have a doctoral degree (Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent) and a research program in either the field of immunology, cancer, or a combination of both (e.g. cancer immunotherapy). Candidates for Assistant Professor should have post-doctoral experience with a strong record of productivity. Candidates for Associate or Full Professor should have a record of ongoing extramural funding support and productivity. Candidates should also have excellent communication skills. Candidates with R01 level funding (or equivalent) are preferred. Successful candidates will be expected to run a strong and funded research program in some aspect of immunology or cancer biology, in addition to participating in clinical service and education (as appropriate). For appropriately board-certified M.D. or Ph.D. candidates, any area of clinical expertise in Pathology will be considered.

CLINICAL ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR - NEUROLOGY
Department: Neurology

The University of Iowa, Department of Neurology is recruiting a faculty member specializing in Epilepsy. The appointment will be on the clinical track at the Associate rank. The position involves delivery of outpatient care in the Department of Neurology’s Epilepsy Clinic, attending on the inpatient Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, reading EEG and IOM studies in the EEG laboratory, and taking EEG call. The successful candidate will join a group of six adult epileptologists and two additional EEG/IOM readers. The University of Iowa Comprehensive Epilepsy Program is the only NAEC Level 4 epilepsy center in the state of Iowa.

The Division of Cardiology at the University of Iowa Stead Family Department of Pediatrics provides compassionate, family-centered, and state-of-the-art delivery of care to children and young adults with congenital and acquired heart disease. Patients are followed through the transition to adulthood. The Office of Consultation and Research in Medical Education (OCRME) and the Carver College of Medicine is recruiting for an onsite full-time faculty position which includes faculty responsibilities within OCRME’s Master in Medical Education (MME) program. In particular, this individual will be a strong teacher who provides expertise in teaching methods, clinical teaching, mentoring, and faculty development. This individual will be responsible for teaching graduate level courses (including Clinical Teaching and Teaching Methods) and overseeing OCRME’s faculty development programs. The successful candidate would primarily provide service to OCRME with additional service to the College and the hiring department on request.
This faculty member will join a team of educators in the Master in Medical Education program in the Office of Consultation and Research in Medical Education, located in Iowa City, Iowa. OCRME has been an integral part of the Carver College of Medicine’s educational program for more than 40 years. OCRME faculty and staff provide expertise, leadership, and mentoring in educational scholarship and innovation. In addition to teaching courses and advising students enrolled in certificate and advanced degree programs, OCRME faculty also provide consultation and advice to the college’s faculty, staff, and educational leadership. OCRME faculty and staff are national and international leaders in healthcare education, present at national and international forums, publish in educational and scientific journals, and take on senior positions in professional organizations.
The successful candidate will have an area of expertise that complements current faculty members’ interests in assessment, evaluation, simulation, communication, and interprofessional education. This position will also collaborate closely with staff and faculty colleagues in instructional technology, instructional design, and curriculum development across the Carver College of Medicine.
