Mejia receives Investigator Achievement Award from Fertility and Sterility
UI reproductive endocrinologist Rachel Mejia, DO, has been named by the journal Fertility and Sterility as the recipient of its 2019 Investigator Achievement Award.
Mejia, director of UI Health Care’s Fertility Preservation Program, earned the recognition for her work as first author on the paper “A randomized controlled trial of combination letrozole and clomiphene citrate or letrozole alone for ovulation induction in women with polycystic ovary syndrome,” which was published in the journal in September 2018.
The award recognizes an exceptional paper on which the first author is less than five years out of fellowship training or less than 35 years old.
Mejia received the award Oct. 12 at the 2019 American Society for Reproductive Medicine Scientific Congress and Expo in Philadephia.
