Best Hospitals Vote Due March 22
UI Carver College of Medicine faculty are urged to go online to cast their votes in the U.S. News & World Report “Best Hospitals” survey. The deadline for doing so is March 22.
“Our national reputation has a profound influence on recruitment and philanthropy,” says Brooks Jackson, MD, MBA, vice president for medical affairs and dean of the Carver College of Medicine. “And we know that many patients seriously consider the U.S. News rankings when choosing a provider. If you’re proud of the work we do in your specialty, I urge you to take the survey and express your support.”
As in the past two years, specialists in 16 adult and 10 pediatric specialties cast votes using their account in Doximity. Jackson urges those already registered with Doximity to log in and vote now. Those who haven’t yet set up a Doximity account are encouraged to create their account now in order to vote in future surveys.
"One meaningful gesture"
Jackson points to “Best Hospitals” rankings as one of several opportunities to enhance UI Health Care’s strong national rankings.
“We all know that any effort to affect our rankings by boosting metrics in areas such as outcomes, test scores, and funding requires long-term dedication and excellence,” he says. “But you should also know that there is one meaningful gesture that board-certified faculty can take right now to contribute to the cause: cast a vote in the U.S. News & World Report “Best Hospitals” survey.”
Faculty who are board-certified in the areas below and with Doximity accounts active by December 1, 2017 are eligible to cast their votes by March 22.
