Director of Educational Outreach

David Moser, Ph.D. is the Director of Educational Outreach for the Office of Health Parity. He began collaborating with our team in 2015, formally joined the office as interim Associate Dean in 2018, and then assumed his current role in 2019.

Dr. Moser’s primary responsibilities involve developing and presenting talks and workshops on various topics related to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with the goal of making the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine an increasingly welcoming and inclusive community. He also meets with individuals and small groups on an as-needed basis to discuss new ideas and also challenges faced by our community members.

Dr. Moser is also a Professor and Vice Chair for Faculty Development in the UICCOM Department of Psychiatry. He is a clinical neuropsychologist and psychotherapist, and is also actively involved in research. A native of Massachusetts, he trained at the University of Florida and Brown University before coming to Iowa in 1999.
