Jontell Harris-James will join the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion as a DEI Recruiter after three years of working as an Administrative Services Coordinator for the Office of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) in Hospital Administration. Jontell will provide centralized coordination of diversity recruitment efforts for faculty and other designated programs. She will develop networks and recruiting strategies for under-represented populations.

Jontell received her Master of Public Administration with a focus on Executive Leadership from Drake University in 2016. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communications as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, both from Drake University.  She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
