Student Organizations

AMS - Association of Multicultural Scientists

  • AMS is a graduate student-run organization seeking to promote diversity within biomedical sciences through the recruitment and retention of historically underrepresented minorities and underserved groups.

LMSA - Latino Medical Student Association

  • LMSA was founded to represent, support, educate and unify Latino(a) Medical Students.

MAPS - Minority Association of Pre-medical Students

  • Minority Association of Pre-medical Students represents the undergraduate and post-baccalaureate students of SNMA.

  • EQUAL Meds (formerly MEDIQS) is an active student group with the mission of educating the Carver College of Medicine medical community on health issues that pertain to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and/or questioning (LGBTQ) patients and to provide a support network for LGBTQ health professional students.   

SNMA - Student National Medical Association

  • The Student National Medical Association is the oldest and largest medical student organization dedicated to people of color and underserved communities.
