The University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine will host a commencement ceremony for the Physician Assistant Program Class of 2022 at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2022. The event will be held in the Main Ballroom of the Iowa Memorial Union located at 125 N. Madison Street, Iowa City, IA 52245.

Since 1973, cardiologist Donald Brown, MD, has worked tirelessly to change medicine and change lives in the Hawkeye State. Now, Dr. Brown is giving back to a profession that has given him so much.

UI Carver College of Medicine alumnus Rufus Kruse, MD, graduated in an accelerated program formed to meet the need for medical officers in World War II. He then practiced internal medicine in Marshalltown for 35 years, becoming an integral member of the community with a reputation for providing thoughtful patient care.

A new medical student group seeks to provide career development opportunities and a unifying space for medical students from underprivileged backgrounds.
