You know that phase that every little kid goes through around age four or five, where they want to be a doctor (usually a pediatrician) when they grow up? Well, I just never recovered from that phase.

The culture and the hospitality of people here is really great. I remember someone knocked on our door when we first moved here and they had a cake to give us just for moving in! I have lived in other areas where if you get a knock on the door at night you call 911, but in Iowa, they bring cake.

Throughout my training at the University of Iowa I was impressed by the institution’s dedication to providing high quality health care. The vision to make a difference in the quality of life and health for generations in Iowa and around the world really resonates with me.
